The Room Is the System
Screen size, speaker count, and equipment price do not determine whether a theater performs well. The room, seating locations, sightlines, ambient light, construction, speaker placement, equipment ventilation, power, and control strategy all affect the final experience. Amplex evaluates those elements together before recommending the system.
We evaluate viewing distance, seating position, screen size, room lighting, wall space, and the choice between projection and a large-format direct-view display. The goal is a picture that feels immersive without being uncomfortable or poorly suited to the room.
Speaker and subwoofer locations must be planned around the room and the listeners—not simply placed wherever installation is easiest. We design the audio layout, amplification, equipment, and calibration strategy as one system.
Power, surge protection, low-voltage wiring, networking, equipment racks, ventilation, lighting, and control are planned alongside the audio and video system. The parts hidden behind the room matter just as much as the equipment everyone sees.
After installation, Amplex configures, tests, and programs the system, then explains how to operate it. The completed theater should be impressive when it is playing and straightforward when someone wants to use it.
